dining & take out

Aberdeen's dining scene is diverse - not overrun with chains, we enjoy independent shops that serve up El Savadorean, Sushi, Italian, fresh and local fish & chips and more.

Samurai Sushi Bar and Grill

One of the more recent additions to Aberdeen is Samurai. Don’t let the strip mall location fool you - once inside, the room is welcoming and the service professional. Not just for sushi and seafood lovers, they also serve generous bento boxes with chicken and beef and bowls of soupy noodles. View the menu here: http://samuraisushiandgrill.com/Menu_Samurai.html

Rediviva

Looking for fine dining and craft cocktails? Rediviva is a must. They source ingredients locally resulting in amazingly savory steamers and scallops, as well as pork, beef, and duck plates to die for. If you lean towards vegetarian, the winter acorn squash will make it so you never miss the meat. Eating on a budget? Try them at happy hour to get discounts on some of their favorite dishes.

La Salvadorena

Pupusas, burritos, enchiladas, tortas and tamales, and all at an incredibly fair price. If you don’t see the salsa on your table, ask for it. They have three different levels of heat, and all delicious. Find them on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/La-Salvadore%C3%B1a-Restaurant-473600246027174/

Amore Pizza & Pasta

An Aberdeen staple, Amore serves up classic Italian dishes, pizza and wine in a romantic setting. Want simple comfort food? Order up the grilled cheese and tomato basil soup. You can’t go wrong.

Thai Smiles

Thai Smile is small but mighty. The owner is from Thailand, so expect the real thing. Also expect to have your own place to eat unless it’s summer time. They have tables in a semi-enclosed area, but save that seating for July. Call ahead to place your order if you’re in a hurry: 360.637.9434. Like their Facebook page to stay in the know (they travel back to Thailand every year and close up shop) https://www.facebook.com/Thai-Smiles-311626362193509/

Breakwater Seafoods & Chowder

Whether you’re looking for fresh seafood to take home, or fresh seafood to have prepared for you, Breakwater is the place to be. Crab cocktail, fried and grilled fish, coleslaw and chowders are made all the better by friendly service and outdoor seating on the Wishkah river. Check out all their offerings on their website: http://breakwaterseafood.com/location/
